It’s hot.
Charleston’s weather is not “sun dress and wide-brimmed hat” hot.
It’s “stay inside because you’ll melt on your porch” hot.
That being said, I’ve been working at Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio this summer. We’ve had several customers come into the store searching for makeup that will withstand the summer heat and humidity.
Well ladies, that’s an impossible request.
It’s too darn hot.
In other news, my summer has consisted of working indoors, shopping, eating, and watching How I Met Your Mother. I really can’t wait to get back to school.
I have been buying a few things for the apartment. Target is having a bedding sale, so I lucked out and bought a reversible comforter that perfectly fits my color scheme. I also picked up a few bird figurines from the Dollar Tree and a three-teired night stand. It’s all starting to come together!
This year, I’m hoping to avoid a repeat of the freshman 15 30. Wish me luck.
